What is Nubot?

Nubot is a derivative of the wireless 4-legged, 8-dof, wirelessly controlled walker MiniKame by Javier Hernandez. The original design goal of Nubot was to make a smaller, cheaper, easy to 3D-print version of MiniKame, but along the way a few improvements on the original were made, mostly related to the network and user interface.


The walking gait is negatively impacted by the lack of a linkage system. This is compensated for by the reduction in weight, enabling the use of longer legs for more movement and more expressive animation options.
